Sean and Katy’s place is absolutely beautiful and they are such kind and lovely people. There were 5 of us and we had ample space to rest and work and enjoy the quirks of this historic house and its surrounding. The proximity of the lake and private dock mean you feel totally immersed in nature- we watched the sunrise most mornings and listened to the birds, as well as doing some swimming even though it was late September! Everything that you might need has been thought of and Sean and Katy were on hand whenever we had any questions. What a magical place. We really hope to come again. Thank you!

The house was built in 1880 at the very top of the lake. Beautifully restored by the current owner with high speed internet, air con, good kitchen and still retains a lot of the original features of the house. The views are spectacular down the lake, and an easy walk down to a new massive dock with gazebo. The fishing from the dock is great, we caught a lot of small mouth bass, perch , trout and pumpkinseed fish. Worms work best. We quite liked being in a lakeside house that looks like a lakeside house - rather than something more modern in appearance. Sean was communicative - even telling us that a meteor shower was about to take place. We all went outside in the dark and saw 10 -20 meteors over an hour - amazing. More than I had ever seen in my entire (long) life! By the end of the week, we are all thoroughly relaxed and would definitely come again.

My wife and I hosted a family reunion with our adult children and 3 small grandchildren. There were 10 of us in all for 8 nights. It was one of our best family get-togethers ever. There are five bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen for sleeping and feeding a crowd and the house has a lot of character and is a comfortable place with great lake views and privacy. The dock is awesome with a commanding spot on the shore of this beautiful lake. The backyard hot tub was so loved. The lake water in August was deliciously swimmable. The blackberries along the edge of the yard were sweet and abundant. Two local hikes we would highly recommend. Trailheads for both are 10 minutes from the house. Old Baldy trail with astonishing views from the top. Kinsole Tresle where we played in the river underneath. Thank you to our hosts!

We had great weather during our stay at this lakefront property so that was a real bonus. There is a large dock which is great for swimming off of, and docking a boat if needed. The historical house has an updated kitchen with modern appliance and is fully equipped. The lake facing front veranda room has a great view of the lake and is a pleasant place to relax. We did not really make much use of the formal living room. There is a large deck with good view of the lake and we were able to have all of our meals outdoors on the deck, which was a real plus. There is a bar-b-que which we appreciated having so cooking could be done outdoors. Sean is a great host and was very responsive.
