We enjoyed the Mansion! The location was great - close to everything but quiet and private. The Quarter is right there! We walked everywhere. The decor is very NOLA. A funky in a good way renovation. We would definitely stay again.

The position is superb and there was no street noise. It was spotlessly clean. However the floor of the accomodation above is wooden, and is the ceiling of our accomodation, which meant that every movement on the floor above was amplified and heard non stop from 1.30 am for an hour or so when those guests arrived home. The toilet is loose. The showers leaks badly from the floor and needs resealing and the antique mirror is unusable for shaving or putting on makeup. There are no shelves, or drawers to keep clothes, the electric outlet next to right side of bed doesn’t work and the lamps switches are fiddly and should be replaced with switches on the cords

The space was very clean. Good size bathroom, small kitchen with all you need. Linens were crisp and clean. The space is amazing. We didn't spend too much time lounging, but the couch pulls down, chairs are comfortable. The only thing to note: The loft sleeps two, but be aware that the ceiling is very low, and anyone over about 4.5 feet cannot stand up. This wasn't a problem for me, and actually worked out nicely because that space was so cozy. Another thing to note is that the courtyard is just outside. Neighbors were very respectful when they were outside, but if you're a light sleeper, you may hear talking and laughing coming from the patio area. I would recommend this space for your visit to New Orleans, it's literally less than a block from the center of French Quarter's epicenter. Central to food, bars, and shopping. And walking distance to Cafe du Monde.

Great location. Very quiet for being so close to Burbon Street. Beautiful old mansion, but damp & dusty. Dehumidifier didn’t work, so damp smell never went away. Repair person came to fix dehumidifier….. but was left un-repaired & not working. It is New Orleans, so a damp old building isn’t a surprise. So a working dehumidifier would have made to experience a lot better.
