Born in Stuttgart, Germany, Gail's diplomatic family also lived in Greece and Hong Kong for extended periods. She speak conversational German and has a deep love of all things international. After returning to the United States, her family continued to travel, living in Chicago, Berkeley and Los Angeles. After many summers spent forging lifelong friendships at Taylor Statten Camps, located in the Lake District north of Toronto, she went on to attend the University of Toronto in graduate studies. Gail's professional life began as an account executive with Xerox Canada, in the Financial District of Toronto. She then followed her heart into the world of ‘creative arts’. For 10 years, she provided excellent client services to a renowned graphic design studio. Then spent 15 years in Marketing and Creative management for an award-winning Canadian interior design firm. In 2016, her niece and young children beckoned her north and she bought in Tobermory, Ontario. From the minute you step into her home, you see Gail's love of architecture and design. Each room is filled with her special and personal touches. And the warmth of her home is made even better with her welcoming smile and gracious hospitality from the moment you arrive. It's more than a comfortable bed at Old Mariner; and more than her delicious (and renowned) breakfasts; it's a memorable experience.
