Indubbiamente la casa offre una vista stupenda e tutti i comfort, nonchè silenzio, che in una località turistica soprattutto la sera non è scontato. Ma è posizionata in cima ad una serie di salite molto ripide, che non consentono l'accesso con la macchina e che quindi obbligano a faticate incredibili, in particolare se si sta portando su la spesa. Altra nota negativa, essendo una casa di campagna la presenza degli insetti è stata continua: sia di zanzare (nonostante gli zampironi), che mosche, che cimici, che tarme nell'appartamento stesso, al punto che in più di un occasione abbiamo trovato pezzi di legno sbriciolati sul letto, probabilmente cascati dal soffitto. L'accesso alla spiaggia in realtà consiste nel farsi, dopo le discese, almeno 10 minuti di camminata sull'Appia, a tratti senza nemmeno un marciapiede, in mezzo al traffico. Quindi a tutti gli effetti l'accesso alla spiaggia non esiste.

The location is great. Only a 10 minute walk to the town. You are with nature in the cliff, with panoramic views out to sea. There is difficult access but We enjoyed the steep walk up and down for good exercise. You don’t get a sunset view, but you have sun all day. There are grapes to eat and they are so sweet. A neighbour also has a cute dog who likes tickles and kisses. Beds were very comfortable and it was nice to have AC. Communication was good. Yulia and Franco were always available by the telephone to respond to us and were also accommodating when we asked to extend our stay. There were unfortunately a few issues. When we arrived we were greeted by Yulia and Franco. It was a bit embarrassing for them because they had not checked anything. Yulia explained the oven could not be used because of an electrical fault. There is no microwave and so we only had the hob and outdoor gas bbq (shared with neighbours). Yulia explained there were lots of mosquitos in the area and she showed me where the repellant was kept. But when I went to use the repellant, it was empty. The guests before us had left the house very dirty and there were 3 or 4 blood stains on the walls and dead mosquitos. There are also lots of leeches around and we found some in the bathroom when we left the window open. Yulia gave us some pasta to cook, but we had no pan and no colander to use. There was no peeler and no can opener. There was only 1 wine glass, 1 plate and 3 forks. This was rectified later that evening when Franco bought more supplies, however, in my opinion, this should’ve all been checked. The previous guests had also left the crockery very dirty. Cups were unwashed and stored away dirty. We had to request that the house was cleaned again and this was done by the housekeeper the following day. There were televisions in each bedroom but these did not work. Franco came the next day to fix this. It would also be nice for some extra touches. I would recommend a radio or music player, Because in the evenings, when you want to sit and relax there is nothing to do. It would be nice to have quality toiletries. There were no beach towels or parasols or yoga mats. Because it is such a long and high walk, it’s good to have everything already there.

Yuliya and Franco great hosts. Light communication. Clean house, very comfortable beds with good quality linens and amazing view! Highly recommend!
