We loved staying here. The bed was definitely one of the most comfortable I’ve slept on, and the hot tub was amazing. Very peaceful and private. Highly recommend!

Scott and Silvia's place is as advertised, a relaxing, private and beautiful Hawaiian escape. They have included so many thoughtful touches, an extremely comfortable bed, dish and cookware, a private Hot tub complete with a bug screened lanai to relax on and tons of towels. While we didn't get a chance to use the beach equipment (chairs and boogie board), the inclusion of it is another example of how much attention to comfort they have supplied. Their communication was impeccable and the property (a coffee farm, so beautiful). The location is right between Hilo and Volcanoes National Park so it really suited our adventuring. As other reviews have noted, the road is riddled with pot holes but so long as you have a vehicle with decent clearance and patience, it's fine. On average, it took us about 10-15 minutes to get from the property to the highway so about 30-40 min from most things we wanted to see and do. The bonus of this property is its exquisite surroundings, privacy and comfort.

What an awesome place. High quality, comfortable furnishings and appointments, perfect getaway for a couple. Very complete kitchen, ready for you to bring your ingredients and make almost anything. Tons of high quality linens and pillows. Beautiful surroundings and so many nice details. Screened in patio with hot tub is awesome. Exotic birdsongs fill the air and harmless but entertaining wild chickens will wander through. Great location for a drive to the National Park. Beautiful drive along the coast from here to Kona. Reasonable groceries available not far away in Hilo. Strong WiFi internet. Scott was an awesome host, one of the best I’ve ever stayed with. Strong suggestion: pay attention to Scott’s description of the access road. If you’re driving a Jeep or SUV, you’ll be fine. But if you make the mistake I did with a rented sports car, it’s going to add time to your day to crawl over the potholes. It’s still worth the rough drive.

We had a great stay at Scott’s place. He provided spot on directions and pictures for getting there and check in. Hot tub was clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was just as described in listing. Thank you! Would love to stay again someday.

We were lucky to have 3 nights at this fantastic cottage! Exceptionally clean, cozy and well-stocked. Very well located for a day at Volcanoes NP or Hilo area. We spent a day for each, heading out in the morning and getting back to the cottage mid-afternoon. This allowed us to avoid navigating the bumpy road at night and left plenty of time for relaxing at the cottage. Sitting on the covered lanai on the comfy furniture or in the hot tub were some of the best moments of our trip, helping us unwind and disconnect from busy lives. Couldn’t have been more delighted!
