Our unique emperor bell tent provides a bedroom and living area complete with our utility 'potting shed' - home to everything you might possibly need for your glamping experience. Your private double bell tent and orchard has stunning views in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is based on a working farm serving delicious cream teas and pies. Our unique glamping site is situated close to the Jurassic coastline in an area of outstanding natural beauty in East Devon. The double bell tent has its own private outside area in a very natural and organic orchard with undoubtedly the best view of the rolling valley of Farway. The private 'potting shed' has a charcoal BBQ, stove, microwave, china, cutlery and a fridge - all intended to help you glamp in style or survive in the wild - whichever way you look at it! Access to showers and bathrooms is close by to the bell tent - but please note these are shared with other visitors to our small regular campsite. We run a farm kitchen serving homemade pies, scones and traditional country fare in our on site barn restaurant. We've been told our cream teas are the most exceptional in Devon. Our pies and pasties have made a name all by themselves so if cooking on a camping stove is too much, help is just a stone's throw away. Bovey's Down Farm is an organic Aberdeen Angus Beef smallholding, so it is always a hive of activity and there are plenty of interesting things for children to see. For groups or hen parties we can serve dinner under the stars in our Woodland Pavillion with views of the Farway Valley or in our barn restaurant on request. Activities like face painting or crafts can also be arranged if of interest. It's our little glamping haven, so come and simply breathe in the country air or have a party around a camp fire with a few marshmallows - whatever tickles your fancy.
