Casuarina is a beautiful beach side master planned suburb, which has won awards in international design circles. Covenants exist on architectural approvals so there is great flair to all houses, providing a vibrant visual aspect to the streets. Only native flora can be planted within the suburb, and this contributes to it's earthly relaxing beach side feel.

If staying locally, park your car and relax. Spend your time at the beach, relaxing in the unit, by the pool, or dining in style in the in-house Thai restaurant, The Spice Den.
There are quality eateries across the road in "The Commons" complex, or multiple upmarket restaurants just up the road (2.5km), in the "Salt Precinct". The Salt Precinct is a must visit. Make your way there by a 30 minute pleasant stroll (in my opinion!) on the flat beach side boardwalk, or you can hire a bike from the lobby. There is a courtesy bus to collect you should you wish to dine at the Saltbar Surfclub, taxi's are also available, and buses run hourly (33 min past the hour) from the shopping centre across the road.
Otherwise jump in your car to travel 15 minutes to Coolangatta and the beautiful Southern Gold Coast, or travel to the many nature hikes available, such as Mt Warning/Wollumbin.
Byron Bay is just an hour drive South and if you go here you must eat at "The Farm", or heading North the Gold Coasts theme parks are just 40 minutes away.
Casuarina really is a beautiful, quiet relaxing beach side suburb in between these 2 Australian tourism mecca's. Hire cars are available from Gold Coast Airport, this is the fly into airport for this unit and is about 15 min drive away. Brisbane Airport presents public transport difficulties or a longer drive through traffic... try to avoid this.
