Get away from it all in this remote cottage on the Welsh moors. It is a much loved family holiday home with no TV, wireless or any other modern distraction! Beautiful views of hills, farmland and mist rolling off the lake below. It is a perfect place to unwind and reconnect with all that's important. **Please note that the property is currently listed for sale (which breaks my heart!). The estate agent may request to show viewers around. I will always ask you first but would be most grateful if you feel able to accommodate this.** We offer a traditional whitewashed stone cottage with slate roof in the middle of farmland, high up over Bala Lake (Lyn Tegid). The cottage is quite basic, but makes a great base if you're looking for peace and tranquility. The living room features a wood-burning stove with additional radiators for cold weather. There’s a large kitchen with washing machine and tumble dryer, microwave, toaster, electric stove, slow-cooker, kettle and plenty of basic cooking utensils. The bathroom is now newly refurbished including bath and shower. The master bedroom is very large with fantastic views and a fabulous desk/work space. Also plenty of room for cot. The bunkroom is quite small but has a little desk, and the third bedroom has two single beds. Until Summer 2017 the cottage was only been used for close friends and family, and certainly retains that feel. There are books, toys, plenty of wellies, and the basics for cooking. From September 2020, we're offering a "bring and swap" bookshelf! Please feel free to bring a book and swap for one you want to take home. The track to the cottage is across two fields, and there is parking space for up to three vehicles at the top. However the field is shared with cows and sheep, who may nuzzle your car!
