Nice clean space to rest and relax. All of this is noted in the description, so there isn’t an excuse to be surprised. But just to emphasize. The train is really close by and quite loud. Luckily it didn’t happen in the middle of the night for us. Check if the football stadium has an event the nights you’re there, as it’s directly across the street and very loud too. We happened to be there during graduation, which is totally cool. The TV speakers did not work for us, which is a shame. Also we ran the shower for 15 minutes and still didn’t have hot water. What a waste in precious water.
We enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and comfortable. Best sleep we had on our entire trip. Easy access to anywhere in Roswell.
It is fairly a quiet place.
The "train" is 2-stones away (back of our property). It's commerce!!!!! The whistle is loud!! Charlie & The Ladies!--The most beautiful rooster you've ever seen w/a great personality, he'll Cook-A-Doodle-Do with you!!! He's fun!!!
Summer, Spring, Fall there are base-ball games across the street.
Fall & early winter there are football games, the traffic does get busy when there is a football game.
The road in front of the home is not terribly busy-but can get busy.
**most (not all) folks are kind & respectful to let you turn in & turn out onto the main road.
There is public bus transportation on Main Street, which is approx. 1/2 to 1 mile away.
Hello Guests, Tom & i are retired school teachers. We've been married for 41 years. These homes have been in my family since before 1951. My grandparents came in a covered wagon to Roswell, NM in 1916, farmed & raised horses till their retirement. Tom & i have 2 sons & their families & 5 grand childrens. Tom's hobbys are woodworking, taking care of our properity. I love to crochet & knit. We live on the property in another antique Victorian home c. 1895 that my parents had moved here. It was the First Baptist Parsonage. If your interested, ask me more questions about the history of my family. Tom & Janet
