We absolutely loved our stay at Karen’s place and Karen is an excellent host. If you’re looking for peace & quiet with stunning views and want a truly authentic rustic Italian experience this is the place for you. The house is full of character and had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay and the pool was an added bonus as it was warm. Yes you have to plan ahead as there are no shops in the village and you can’t park near the house and the village is built on a hillside but that just adds to its charm. The restaurant in the village is also amazing and we would definitely recommend. They also make many dishes that are gluten free which was an added bonus for my coeliac husband.

Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux chez Karen. La maison est atypique et possède une vue dont on ne peut pas se lasser. Tout y est à l'intérieur, on ne manque de rien. Je recommande cet endroit. Un temps pour soi, loin de l'agitation des zones touristiques même si celles ci restent accessibles. Nous sommes allés à Pise et Florence pendant notre semaine mais le retour au calme à vico était fort appréciable.

Karen's house is wonderful, comfortable and extremely well equipped. The location is great, half way up a mountain, with utterly amazing views from every window. Whilst we were there a rare storm hit, locals tell us this came on the back of three solid months without rain, but it was powerful and knocked out the electricity in the whole village for 24 hours. However because Karen was well stocked with candles and head torches, this had a minimal impact on us, and we rather enjoyed the experience. There are lots of well signposted walks around the village and in to the mountains so a good place I imagine for colder months too. The village has a wonderful restaurant full of friendly locals and an international crowd, who were always ready to chat and socialise. I would highly recommend this home for pretty much anyone. It might be a bit challenging for very small children as there are steep steps around the village, but otherwise very highly recommended. Sally Watson

This is a comfortable, well appointed home in a stunning locale with great local hiking; however, it does require some planning and forethought to acquire provisions which is completely understandable since you're in the mountains!

Wir waren 9 Tage in dem wunderschönen Haus von Karen. Alles ist genauso wie beschrieben. Die Nachbarn sind sehr nett und man kommt schnell ins Gespräch. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!
