Situated on one of beautiful island in Mekong River, Cai Be Town, Tien Giang Province, Mekong Rustic stand beside Cai Be floating Market and inside fruit gardens which emphasize the beautiful but seldom visit rural area on the side of Mekong River. With 80 per cent Vietnamese live in the countryside, visitor to Vietnam are rarely given opportunity to peek beneath the veil of this age-old-culture. It is our goal to set a benchmark in ecotourism here that can be replicated throughout the region. In order to do this, we need to continue to show our guests how most Vietnamese actually live, far removed from tourist hot pots which dot the country. Beautiful natural surroundings notwithstanding, it's not surroundings nor the brick and mortar of villages which make up communities. It's the people. In Mekong rustic, it is important to us that you feel welcomed and included. We do this by offering the true Mekong Vietnamese hospitality. This is necessary if we wish to learn as much from you as we hope you learn from us. Now we have only 5 rustic rooms with Mekong traditional style in the garden fruit of more than 4.000 square meters. All of our rooms have standard facilities such as air condition, bathroom, double/twin standard bed. To make you feel closely to the nature, all of rustic wall was made by glasses with a lot of fruit trees outside. The rustic are built in extreme harmony with its surroundings: featuring coconut leaf thatched roofs, wooden furniture and bamboo interiors also. Now we have 2 homestay with 7 rooms with standard facilities. Our homestay represents a slice of traditional life of Mekong people' albeit a rapidly vanishing traditional life. It was built to highlight the culture, aesthetic and historical realities of the area's past which are in contrast to the rapidly changing present. Mr Hai and Uncle Ut are warmly host, they want to offer comfortable and simple accommodation but closely to their family. In here, you have opportunities to experience life here with a touching friendly local people and a wealth of activities both inside (family works, cooking and exchange culture) and outside (gardening, farming and cycling around). Mekong Rustic Can Tho has authentic 12 bungalows. All the materials (such as brick, recycled wood and wooden products) used for each and every 12 private bungalows are well-combined to create a rural yet relaxing atmosphere towards the idea of an eco property surrounding with tropical fruit gardens. Living with the locals, visitors may join in with the host family and local tour guide to immerse in the local lifestyle with such activities: gardening, cooking, rowing in a sampan along the canals under the green canopy of water coconuts trees or retreat themselves by lying on a hammock with the favorite book in a privately peaceful quietness. Can Tho is a great stopover for a Mekong Delta trip and Mekong Rustic Cần Thơ is a highlight piece in that beautiful picture which get a real sense of Southern Vietnam daily life.
