It was a very pleasant stay, very beautiful Kashmiri home with personal touches from the host. Very beautiful garden as well, peaceful and serene. Just one issue- the wifi is really really poor. Rest lovely stay. Would love to come back.

beautiful homestay will make you feel like you are in an authentic Kashmiri House. Very well maintained & peaceful location. Only thing to note is it bit away from key tourist spot of dal lake. However Nigeen is nearby. Since this is Srinagar, this should not be a problem as cabs/taxis are easily available (though costly). Auto Ride from lal chowk to this place will be approx 250.

The Cottage Nigeen is an oasis of calm, while being fairly accessible from the city - the location worked well for us. Our room was extremely spacious, with a lot of storage too, which was helpful. It was clean and well furnished. We also loved having access to the garden. My wife had to skip sightseeing for a day due to being unwell, and she found the room extremely comfortable and she was well taken care of during meals; we really appreciate that. The food at the cottage is excellent, and they even prepared local dishes at our request. It was a pleasure interacting with the team as well as the hosts, and Shakila ji gave us good local insights into shopping and sightseeing. They were also able to arrange for a shikara ride and a reliable taxi when we needed it. We highly recommend staying here.
