A very beautiful place to stay. The hut is a great space, warm and comfortable with everything you could want and many thoughtful touches. The bed was just great. Outside the views are gorgeous, with a great expanse of sky and wonderful view of the moon. Catriona and her husband are friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts. And Evie is just delightful! Highly recommended and hopefully I’ll return. Many thanks.

Firstly, I booked this awesome hut from April 4th to the 7th. Catriona reached out to me right after the booking to make sure we have everything and any extra's that we may need whilst staying at the hut. By extra's I mean, Farm fed Angus beef, In house breakfast with homemade jam, marmalade and apple juice, and organic eggs! I also got ourselves a pizza kit for the outdoor pizza oven( which was great). Though the weather was extremely windy, we weren't able to make the pizza out, but we made it in the fine SMEG oven in the hut. The linen was crisp and fresh! Secondly, the hut was exactly how it was pictured. It had everything mentioned in the listing, along with a detailed guidebook of the local things to do. We don't drink, but there were cute miniature and wine bottles for purchase. There were books and toys in the hut for kids and the best part is my cat was allowed! We were elated. Lastly, Alec and Catriona are such amazing people. We LOVED the hut. This is a must-visit! xxx

My husband and I had a beautiful stay at the shepherds hut. It was peaceful and serene, a really special place. The decor and hut itself is absolutely perfect. It is the most wonderful place to stay to relax and unwind. We miss it already!

The most perfect getaway in a private and peaceful location. The hut has everything you need - you can tell a lot of love and thought has gone into every detail. The hut feels homely and warm, the outdoor private garden and seating area is perfect for stargazing and the surrounding fields you can walk around have the most beautiful views. The pizza oven is a perfect addition (even on a cold evening, it still tastes good!) Farm dog, Evie, is an added cute bonus in the mornings! Hosts were so friendly and attentive. Trip was absolutely perfect and exceeded expectations, already look forward to visiting again.

My daughter and her boyfriend stayed here on her 21st birthday. They absolutely loved the hut & location. Catriona checked in many times with my daughter which was lovely. They went bike riding around the lovely village and loved how peaceful the location is. They had a wonderful breakfast basket left for them on arrival which was lovely. They will definitely return for another stay. The hut is beyond cosy and full of every home comfort you could possibly need. Five star stay !!
