What a great location, quiet and peaceful. We easily walked through town to the castle and various tabernas. We weren't able to enjoy the swimming pool or patio (visited in December), but the fireplace was stocked with wood and the heaters warmed the house nicely. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and playing games around the fire. The house has everything you need for a nice family getaway.
Went on a part-working / part-holiday trip. It was a great villa with fabulous art and workspace and generous outdoor and indoor living areas as well as a small work space. The town is small and compact includes all the amenities you'd typically need including some lovely restaurants, a bakery, banks, and a supermarket are walkable. It proved an excellent base to visit other cities such as Cordoba, Seville, Grenada, and Malaga. Esteban was very welcoming and showed us where everything was around town. The main bedrooms have good air conditioning, The master bedroom has a huge bathroom including a giant bath and walk-in shower and lots of space The neighbors can be noisy in the evening but we didn't find this much of a problem as the upstairs is pretty well sound-proofed and we had long days traveling. The only downside is parking was tricky with the SUV we hired, and the dishwasher didn't work but we only made tea/coffee so handwashing was no problem.
Nous avons passé notre première semaine de vacances en famille avec nos 4 enfants chez Esteban et Isabel. Cette maison est un vrai havre de quiétude et de beauté. Nous avons aimé le cheminement des œuvres de l’artiste quel travail fabuleux. Chaque petit recoin est étudié et nous invite au voyage… et cet atmosphère si chaleureux nous permet de nous sentir comme dans notre propre maison. Une belle découverte merci pour votre gentillesse également.

Soy Esteban Ruiz, artista y mi trabajo se desarrolla entre el taller que tengo en París y el que está situado a escasos metros de La Casa de Luz, en Almodóvar del Río. El tiempo que paso en España, y junto a mi familia, puedo disfrutar de la belleza y la luz del sur. Cada vez que vuelvo a ella, me siento acogido. Respirar el encanto de sus rincones y estar rodeado de arte, me impregna de serenidad e inspiración. Sería un placer que decidieran conocerla, y hacernos partícipes de su experiencia. Como en mi profesión, en constante creación, cambiamos por temporadas las obras exhibidas en sus paredes. Esto nos permite darle vida y movimiento a los distintos espacios que la conforman. Además me ofrece la oportunidad de dar a conocer mi trabajo a quienes se alojan.
