Un lugar para descansar y pasar dias agradables, habitaciones limpias, equipadas y con una muy buena decoracion. La alberca es excelente y las vistas desde el balcon son perfectas. El personal es amable y atento, la comunicacion con el anfitrion es muy buena. Sin dudas regresaremos.

THE CROCODILE PALACE When first world global capital investors move into a third world paradise that lacks infrastructure things get muddy with today’s overheated oceans. Clara Vista Villas has first world resort architecture with a seaside infinity pool framing a panoramic coastline. The biggest problem is the developer didn’t build an adequate bridge. We arrived just before Hurricane Willa and trop storm vicente dropped about eight inches of rain on la Manzanilla and it globally recognized crocodile sanctuary. Clara Vista Villas sit on the north end of town, adjacent to the sanctuary. When Willa brushed the costa Alegre the small berm bridge linking town to the north end that the development paid for it failed 24 hours after the rain began. The estuary fills with rainwater cascading off the surrounding hills and overflowed. All that water gushed into the about 100 yards from Clara Vista Villas. The beautiful ocean turned into a smelly brown bilge. Crocodiles were washed out to sea along with the town effluent. None of Clara Vista Villas staff told us to move our rental car into town before the storm. With the bridge and dirt road heading north both wiped out we would have been stranded if it wasn’t for Evers my local snorkel guide who found us a flat bed tow truck that carried our car up the. North flood zone to pavement. That two mile tow cost me $175, but was worth it because we weren’t marooned in the crocodile palace. During the two days of rain our original room and the one we had to move to leaked. I like crocodiles, but don’t like walking on the beach seeing them writhing through fences trying to return to their home. After leaving the crocodile palace we headed into the mountains for a more peaceful and drier stay.
