Fantastic stay. It is indeed a castle! Beautiful house and oh...the view. Our adult kids loved the view the most. Screens on important windows have been installed as suggested by another review. We did not experience a lot of mosquitoes at all, and sat on the patio every evening. Alex the Property manager was SO helpful, and friendly. We didn't realize the house was so close to the lagoon. Only a 5-minute drive. The Waze App will take you to the exact location of the house, which is helpful when renting a vehicle. Our only disappointment was no hot water, and having water pressure that pulses like it's on a pump. A safe to store our passports & cash would have been nice. Even just a lockable drawer would work. We would definitely return, and recommend wholeheartedly. Thank you!

AMAZING!!! If I could give 10 stars, I would! Jeff's place should be renamed "The million dollar view without the million dollar price" - that more accurately describes his place. Just absolutely breathtaking just as soon as you come through the iron gate and step into the back patio. We came with our family for my son's wedding, and Jeff and his staff were so accommodating the entire trip. He helped us with transport to/from the airport, to/from the wedding destination using his recommended tourist guide, Mario. Justo even took us to the grocery store to get supplies for the week. Sonia, his recommended chef, will cook you the most delicious fish dinner this side of the equator! Please confirm at least one night with her - you won't be disappointed! Norman and Jamilet are worth their weight in gold in keeping the pool and house clean and in washing/drying/folding (WOW) your clothes should you need that service. But the view - Mombacho, birds, monkeys, sounds of nature - BREATHE, ENJOY

My husband and I spent 5 relaxing days at this property with three of our adult children. The home is private, spacious and very comfortable. The view from the porch and pool is breathtaking. As no motor boats are allowed on the lagoon, we found the location to be very peaceful and quiet. A special bonus was the daily housekeeping and pool/grounds maintenance. We felt spoiled! Sonia twice cooked our evening meal, providing both a vegetarian and a meat based meal. Her cooking was delicious!! The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, pots and pans.. We purchased groceries in Granada and did some of our own cooking. There are small tiendas near the house to purchase basic necessities if needed. We used Casa Castillo’s suggested driver, Carlos. He provided safe, reliable transport at a reasonable cost. We could not be happier with our stay!

Casa castillo was an amazing first place to arrive. The staff was incredibly helpful & the casa was the peace that we needed before heading to our next adventure. The place was much better than the pictures, I recommend this place to anyone who wants a vacation in nature!

Jeff was very responsive, accommodating and very informative. The casa Castillo team was very friendly and made our stay perfect. The cook Sonia was very affordable and the food was delicious. The taxi driver carlos went out of his way many times to help us find places we need to go . Alex was also informative and answered all our questions. I would highly recommend this Casa!!
