Enjoyed our stay, thank you!
Like other people noted the cottage and it’s setting were better than the pictures portrayed. The site is large and very private with beautiful views from the both the cottage and waterfront. The lake is pristine with a sandy entry and a safe area for swimming. We enjoyed exploring the lake in the two kayaks and the canoe. The cottage itself is quite “cottagy”. It was very comfortable with large rooms comfortable furnishings with a great view of the living and dining room with plenty of space to hang out for our group of six. The cottage has a smart layout with two of the four bedrooms and one if the bathrooms a level below the others. The kitchen was adequately equipped with the bonus of sharp knives (so unusual in a rental) if you like to cook! The deck had a fantastic view from a treetop vantage point. I am looking forward to coming back to this beautiful spot.
The Beach cottage exceeded our expectations. The photos definitely do not capture how lovely the whole property is.
The pictures don't do it justice. We had an absolutely amazing time away here. From the moment we walked in the door, it felt like home. Having spent 35+ years visiting Devil Lake, we have been to many places in the area. This is probably my favourite so far. There is something to be said for the peace and tranquility of not having noisy neighbours. It was so nice to sit and hear nothing but the sounds of nature. From the waves crashing on the shore, to the loon calls from across the lake. There is plenty of room to roam and explore (if you're up to the challenge). The path to the beach is a bit steep, especially coming back up, but well worth the effort! The only bad thing was having to leave on check-out day, lol. Also, Robin was great to deal with. No problems at all, and was quick to remedy a small issue we had with the bbq. We would definitely visit again. Thanks to Robin and the owners for giving the opportunity to enjoy such a beautiful property!
PA-RA-DISE - that’s the exact word needed. It was the best to spend a few days of fall with 6 members of my family visiting from France. Everyone was amazed! It’s authentic, calm, the view is breathtaking - best family memories at the cottage.
