It was a great experience to spend one night in the homestay with local people. We enjoyed their company a lot. However, it is definitely overpriced for the very low standard of the accommodation provided. The toilet is outside the house, which is not a problem in itself, however the way to get to the toilet is steep and slippery (no stairs) furthermore the toilet lacked basic sanitary set (there was only the wc. To flush the toilet we had to use a little bowl full of water and we showered with a rubber tube. No sink nor shower are there). The anti-mosquitoes net on top of the bed was very dirty.

We had a good stay and enjoyed the local village. As several others have pointed out, YOU have to make this stay a great experience, dont expect the host to do it. For others considering this, i will suggest only doing weekdays, as school and many of the day to day things are not as visible on the weekends. We brought a football and made several new friends on the football field next to the school. The food was excellent 👌

nous avons très apprécié la découverte de ce village, cette maison, et la vie de la famille notamment autour de la préparation du repas. C est une expérience qui ne s oublie pas. La famille a été très accueillante. Merci a notre guide, qui a été super, et aux petits soins pour nous pendant tout le séjour. la balade dans les rizières était magnifique, et la possibilité d y ajouter la découverte au sanctuaire des éléphants était au top. Idéalemement, un peu plus de temps passé au village nous aurait permis de découvrir d autres aspects de la vie des habitants.

It was an interesting experience. The location is not well pointed on the map. As mentioned in the description the conditions are basic. It is the experience that matters for this accommodation. The host is very friendly and will cook for you dinner and breakfast. I recommend the experience if you can accept the conditions and prepare for it.
