Absolutely stunning location, looking over Vernazza. You'll feel like a mountain hermit. Katia was great at communication and met me at the station to walk up to the cottage. It's less than ten minutes walk, but it is up a big hill. Pack light!

Amazing stay. The views are absolutely stunning. The home is up out of town, a fairly easy walk if you are fit. If it is important for you to be right in town and not a 10min walk with some steps, this is not for you. Katia meets you at the train station so you don’t have to worry about what initially seems like confusing directions. The home itself is quite large, has AC, hot water and everything you could need despite being a “cabin” out of town. It is also right on the trail so easy to get up and start your hike before everyone else. Katia was also wonderful. No complaints.

If you are looking to stay in an authentic Italian place in Cinque Terre, then Katia’s cabin, perched right on the Vernazza hiking trail (which you get free access to for staying here!), is absolutely the place! Vernazza is a magical place, but I truly don’t think we’d be able to appreciate it the way we did if we didn’t stay at Katia’s. This quaint cabin was equipped with everything we needed, spacious, and very clean - we felt right at home, and you absolutely cannot beat the view! The views alone made this stay incredible. Katia is also an incredibly gracious host who greeted us from the train, walked us up to her place (walk truly isn’t bad if you packed on the lighter side) and kindly showed us how to use amenities. She was very responsive and gave great restaurant and hiking tips. The walk to and from the main street is 5-10 min, and is surprisingly pretty easy to navigate, except on rainy days :). I wish I booked it for more time, I cannot wait to stay again when I come back!!

If you're considering booking this place, consider no longer - just book. This little place is a gem! Not only has it got the best views of Vernazza, but the overall character of the place is something to experience! Katia was a great host. She met us at the station and walked us to the property - don't let the stairs deter you, the views both during the day and at night are worth it!! We hiked straight from our doorstep to the next village, which was ideal! If we come back, we will definitely book this place again!
