This place can be hard to locate if you use the Alice House landmark. However, using Madiba's Hotel is much easier and findable on Google Maps and will place you a few blocks away from the house. Once there, you will find it looks just like the pictures. A very calming place to be. Very peaceful listening to the ocean from wherever you are on the property. Had an issue checking into one of the rooms I booked. There that was later resolved by the host and Airbnb France. The place was listed as an open kitchen. This seems to be not the case but it wasn't clear. You have a chef to attend to your needs for meals and such but when we asked to place drinks in the fridge the chef said it wasn't allowed. However, when we asked Marianne, she allowed us to do so. This was also the case with eating outside. We were told no by the chef but was allowed when asked Marianne. So hopefully they will iron out the kinks of hosting at their home as it is a great place to stay.

My boyfriend and I traveled through Ghana for two weeks and wanted to enjoy the last week of our trip in Togo. We chose the accommodation of Marianne at short notice and did not regret it. It's not so easy to find the house, but once you've arrived in Avepozo and taken the right direction, the locals are happy to help, so we arrived at Marianne without any problems. The house is just fantastic, you fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Everything is clean and every day gardeners, a cook, a housekeeper and a night guard (you should'nt be afraid of big dogs ;)) are bustling around and making every effort to make sure everything is tidy. The staff is accommodating and also speaks a little English. We especially liked the pool and the relaxing massages. We originally only planned 2 nights at Marianne's place, but stayed 4 nights. In total, it was a perfect end of our Holiday.

Marianne’s place is an architect designed beach house that must be quite unique in Togo. We stayed for 2 nights and it was very relaxing. It is run as a full-time guest house with a resident chef (who prepares breakfast and can cook lunch / dinner) and other staff. The beach is picturesque and the nearby Madiba hotel offers some beachfront dining within walking distance.

This house is dream! The design is fantastic ( and I work for AD so that means something 🤣). I was blown away by the sensitive design that reflected the environment. My dream would be to rent the whole place and never leave! The pounding of the waves lulls you to sleep and the cleverly placed and designed blinds mean you don’t need a fan. Designer towels too! My only regret is I did not have time for a massage with ocean view. Next time...
