Just like in all of our travels, we weren’t expecting that much in any accommodation that we go to. A nice bed, a good bath, and aircon rooms are enough for us. But Carangyan Beach Resort exceeded our expectations. It has its own clean white sand beach front, hidden in one of Catanduanes’s secluded coves. There is enough comfy space for the ten of us. You also don’t have to go far in search of beautiful places when in Carangyan. There are nearby gems within the vicinity, such as the Cagnipa Rolling Hills, Tuwad-Tuwadan Lagoon, and Muraw Beach, which can be trekked lightly, or you can use your vehicles to make it there fast. The food is very good; they got fresh seafood, meat, and veggies. They even prepared specially packed food for our trips around the island, personally prepped by Ms. Dolly and her staff for us. We’re very grateful for that. We'll never forget the warmth of Carangyan's courteous staff. And we thank you for that memorable trip! :)
Dolly and Geoff's place is situated in a pretty cove where you can swim and kayak. There are good stars and fireflies on the beach at night. The homecooked food was v. tasty! you can pay someone to take you on their motorbike (but not hire a scooter) to the beautiful rolling hills and coastline bearby. I recommend doing a Caramoan tour on your way up. the hosts were really kind to me when I had to leave early and made me feel welcome throughout. definitely recommend!
The location of Carangyan Beach Resort is incomparable. The warmth of Dolly and Geoff certainly made me feel welcome. Their quick response to queries and requests were also super appreciated! CBR is a nature eco resort surrounded by tropical greenery, mangroves, and a beach for swimming so there is much to see in the surroundings as well as the rest of the island of Catanduanes. The food served was excellent and made the best of the fresh produce and seafood available.
This resort is THE PLACE to stay on Catanduanes. Dolly and Geoff went out of their way to make us feel at home. Their hospitality went beyond expectations. We were treated like 'old friends' and, I must say that we felt like that too! Not only were Dolly & Geoff the most amazing hosts, the folks in Pandan teated us like 'Royalty' while we waited for Geoff to drive into town to collect us from the minibus that took us from Virac. For what it's worth, the guys running the minivan were very gracious too. What a wonderful experience! Great memories. THANKS AGAIN!!! Danielle & Greg

We are Dolly and Geoff. Dolly is a retired registered nurse and Geoff is a retired California state supervisor and a CPA. We purchased beach front property near Dolly's birthplace on the island of Catanduanes in the Philippines. We have gradually developed our property into a beach resort (and our retirement home). The resort currently consists of a one bedroom cottage and two hotel style rental rooms. While our facility is relatively small, our property is extensive and amazing. A visit to it is truly a tropical adventure!
