A lovely retreat with the comforts of home. We enjoyed the rural setting, the remarkable vistas and the fully functioning kitchen of the cottage. Our hosts, Analisa and Davide, were helpful when asked, but otherwise left us to our own devices. We would certainly stay again. Located about one kilometer from San Gimignano, there is easy access to the town, its historic sites and restaurants. Within easy day trips are Volterra with a large Etruscan museum, Casole D’Elsa with a small but very elegant Etruscan museum and an excellent restaurant (Caffe Casolani), Certaldo with one of the best restaurants in the area (Ristorante El Castello located at the top of the funicular), Colle di Val D’Elsa (a crystal museum, a modern art museum and L’Angolo di Sapia restaurant with a lovely terrace) and Gaiole with a small but terrific Etruscan museum). San Gimignano hosts an incredible Etruscan museum, the outstanding restaurant Locanda Mandragola and many other sight seeing opportunities.

Our stay at Annalisa's cottage exceeded our expectations. We loved the location, how peaceful the area was, and the view of San Gimignano. Annalisa was also very responsive to all of our messages and made our check in very smooth. We are grateful to have experienced this lovely home in Tuscany and hope to come back. It is even breath taking in December despite the colder weather!

My husband and I stayed at Annalisa’s cottage for a few nights on our honeymoon and we are so glad we did! Annalisa was kind, responsive, and helpful. She gave us some great recommendations for things to do and was so flexible with changes to our stay. The cottage looked just like the pictures and we enjoyed the hot tub too! We were only a 5 min drive to the adorable town of San Gimignano which was perfect for us. They had bottles of wine available to drink for 12€ (the wine was great!) and a breakfast basket available for 15€ per person. The breakfast basket included a fruit plate, small croissants, boiled eggs, coffee, and some meats, cheeses and tomatoes. One note for guests- if you are driving a rental car to the location DO NOT use Apple Maps as this did not take us to the correct location. Use G00gle maps instead!!
