Tina and Torfi are truly warm people who love to welcome others into their B and B and into their lives. The units are a part of the house and there is always a very welcoming, happy atmosphere and much humor and discussion. The bedrooms and shared bathrooms are very tidy and comfortable and clean, especially the bathrooms. For folks wanting to be off the beaten path and looking for relatively cheap lodging, you won't find a better jumping off point than Freyja! Tina and Torfi also are extremely helpful with local sightseeing tips and we went almost everywhere they sent us, much to our satisfaction. This includes some places not known about wisely by tourists. All in all a great experience!

Tina und Torfi haben uns herzlich bei sich aufgenommen und mit vielen, vielen Tipps für die weitere Reise versorgt. Man fühlt sich bei den beiden wie zuhause. In der großzügigen Gästeküche kann man sich gut selbst versorgen, wir empfehlen dennoch das tolle Frühstück von Tina! Vielen, vielen Dank!

The location of this property is near the southern coast, a few kilometers south of Selfoss, a great location from which to set out to do the “Golden Circle.” The house consists of three or four small bedrooms, which are large enough to accommodate beds, as well as a small wardrobe and desk and chair. In addition to a shower in the main house, a second shower is to be found in a converted garage, which is disconnected from the house and also includes a fully equipped kitchen area for the use of guests. The beds are very comfortable, with down coverlets – – always a plus. House rules include no noise after 10 PM and the removal of shoes upon entering the premises – – both good rules. The hosts are excellent, and could not be more personable or attentive to the needs of guests, including emails in advance anticipating their needs – – like directions getting there and the like. One gets the sense that these hosts genuinely enjoy the people who share their home—a very big plus for the guest who otherwise could feel like he is simply imposing. Would we stay here again?Absolutely yes!

Very nice place near but not in the capital. Quiet neighborhood with super friendly hosts who made us feel like people they knew from the moment they met us. Perfect way to begin a two week journey through Iceland.
