A beautiful personally crafted home, combining history (the home is crafted around a centuries old wood cabin) with comfortable and stylish modernity! And the views all around are beautiful! The hosts were incredibly kind, sharing history, stories, and local knowledge. The home is also close to a major road (but far enough away that there is no road noise) so it’s very easy to hop between other small towns in the area. We felt right at home during our stay!

Flott beliggenhet, dagsferske blomster og frukt møtte oss på innsjekk. Fine rom og flott utsikt. Kort vei til sentrum, og god plass på soverommene.

Wir haben zwei wunderbare Wochen in dem Haus von Eivind und Signe-Britt verbracht. Das Haus entspricht absolut den Bildern und der Beschreibung. Es ist sehr gemütlich und wir fühlten uns dort von Anfang an sehr wohl. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich auch unsere Gastgeber. Sie haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen und mit vielen Ausflugsempfehlungen versorgt. Da es unser erster Norwegenurlaub war, hätten wir keine besseren Gastgeber bekommen können. Generell eignet sich der Standort Ølen für zahlreiche Ausflüge und die Region bietet alles, was man sich von Norwegen erhofft. Unsere Highlights waren: Wandertour mit Eivind als Wanderführer, Wanderung zum Wasserfall Langfoss und Buabreen-Gletscher, selbstgebackene Steinofenpizza im hauseigenen Steinofen, Angelausflüge zu einer nahegelegenen Inselgruppe mit dem hauseigenen Boot, Ausflug zum Strand auf der Halbinsel Karmøy.
