We can recommend this homestay to everyone! It has been the highlight in our Sikkim trip. It's a bumpy road to get there and you'll have to climb 150 steps, but they will help you with your luggage. The owner himself wasn't there, but his nephew took care of everything and made sure we had a good time. He explained much about the Lepcha culture and nature in Dzongu, we went on a morning hike to the monestary and a jeeptour to the lake. everything was so well taken care of! The food is also delicious, the couple cooking made us the best food we had in Sikkim. The surroundings are also só beautiful. If you're looking for nature and culture in a very welcoming homestay, this is your place!
The homestay was very nice! We really enjoyed our time there. They cooked us amazing food every day and gave us good advice for exploring the area. The weather was not great while we were there so we couldn’t really see Kanchenjunga mountain due to clouds. I guess we will just have to come back! The only advice I could give for other foreigners heading to Lyngthem is that you need an extra permit to get there as it is in north Sikkim, which we didn’t know when we booked the stay. However Sungdup was very helpful and arranged the Nth Sikkim permit for us easily. We had a great time here and I highly recommend it!
heavenly stay, perfect place to distress you self. its like you are in heaven and you only need to stay to experience it.. no words can describe this place.. very good and organic food .super tasty... 5star for location.. 5 star for food...
Incredible location and warm hosts. Felt like we were staying with family. Waking up each morning greeted by Kanchenjunga outside our window was just indescribable. The food was delicious, clean rooms with nice hot showers, and any tours of the adjacent area were also arranged to our liking. We wish we could have stayed for several more days!

This is myself, Sangdup Lepcha, your facilitator, and contact, for the home stay. I hold a degree in Business Administration and a Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management. I am very good with communication skills and very friendly. I am easy going and love to talk with new people. I love to make sure that you are comfortable and fully pampered by our care, affection, and assistance in everything that you wish to do at the home stay. I love my vocation so much that I may forget to eat my food, and hence I am fit and fast to be available for you round the clock. When I am not doing anything I love to play with the young guests. And I can be a modest player for any game. In addition to running the Lingthem Lyang Homestay, I am also a representative of the Dutch Fund for the Children of Sikkim, a Dutch-Sikkimese non-profit organization that sponsors the education of Sikkimese children from low income families. As an alum of this program, I am proud to have the opportunity to support the organization
