Gorgeous 3-story House on the Town Square Located at the heart of Osor, the main town square, the spacious three-story town house boasts a gorgeous combination of tradition and modern-day amenities. Perfect for a restful vacation or the starting point for exploring the islands of Cres and Lošinj and discovering Mediterranean culture. The five hundred year old house is situated right on the main square in Osor, a mystical tiny town with a great thousand-year-old history, related even to some of the greatest antique myths. Just a few steps from the beach, store, restaurants, museum, cathedral, café and free parking, the house has three floors (each around 29 m2). Walk in from the noisy square and in a second you’ll find yourself hidden from town behind thick walls, entering a cool open-space kitchen, dining room and living room. The whole space gravitates toward a big stone fireplace, which is in full function and can be used for barbecue. The kitchen is equipped with all the appliances, fridge, dishwasher, electric stove, oven. The master suite is located on the first floor. A spacious bedroom holds one king size bed and a crib and has its own bathroom. On the second floor there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with a bunk bed for three persons and one shared bathroom. There is also an attic, which can be used for laundry. Calmness and simplicity of times gone-by can be felt throughout the house which is minimally decorated so that its air of old Mediterranean culture can be preserved. The house used to be a part of a monastery complex and has very thick walls so it remains cool even in the midst of summer, but for peaceful sleep two rooms are also air-conditioned.

Il nostro soggiorno nella casa di Iva a Osor è stato molto bello. Iva è un host molto gentile, premurosa e precisa. La casa era pronta ad accoglierci nel migliore dei modi. La casa è molto bella; arredata bene e funzionale. La posizione sulla piazza è fantastica. Osor è un bel paesino tranquillo, ma vivo e pieno di fascino e cultura. Da Osor abbiamo inoltre potuto raggiungere e visitare molto facilmente diverse località e spiagge molto belle. Vacanze splendide!

This is a very lovely old house located at the main square of Osor with the city beach almost at your door. We enjoyed most hanging around in the house, town square and beach around the corner. Iva really took care of us even when I had some car trouble; she was there for us. Highly recommended!

I can’t say enough about how special our stay was. The location in the heart of the beautiful little town of Osor is perfect, especially for children who might like to explore the village. Each morning we woke-up to smell of salt air, lavender and rosemary then set-up our little breakfast table for some people-watching in the square. Iva delivered fresh fruit (including figs from her garden) and the home was stocked with everything we needed for our stay (including milk, snacks and beverages upon arrival). The beach is turquoise and just steps down the little cobblestone walk from the square out the front door. Osor is paradise and Iva’s place is perfect for a family getaway. Don’t miss this if you are visiting Cres.

Iva’s house is perfect and the area is beautiful! Iva is a great host, very helpful and accommodating. The house is in the central sq of this quiet village, across the street from the village cafe and shop, and a min walk to the beach. We had a great holiday in Osor, thanks to Iva and her house. Many thanks and hopefully we’ll come back soon!

Thanks to its ideal position on the channel dividing the islands of Cres and Lošinj, Osor was and still is a small town with much to offer, once to traders and seamen, today to tourists. Ancient town walls and many historic locations keep the spirit of the old Mediterranean alive. Visitors enjoy the mild climate, clear blue sea, the closeness of the magical mountain Osorščica, which offers an unforgettable view of the whole archipelago, local gastronomic delights and cultural events. Classical music enthusiasts will especially appreciate the rich program of famous Osor Musical Evenings, a month-long event that takes place in the Parochial Church of Saint Mary every summer.
All of this is just a few steps away! Within driving distance there are many other attractions on Cres and Lošinj such as the griffon vulture reservation, a water park, beautiful beaches, different historical locations…

Everything in Osor is within walking distance. The town beach is a minute away, the store on the other side of the square, as well as the café. Restaurants are no more than five minutes away. Other locations on the islands are accessible by car or by boat.
