Our stay at Jane's place was truly one of the best experiences we've had with Airbnb. It was clean, private, welcoming, and had everything we needed. Being within a short walking distance to downtown and Hannaford meant we left the car parked most of the week. There was plenty of books and magazines to read which led to relaxing with a drink on the beautiful porch every evening. Would definitely stay here again if we're ever in Boothbay Harbor.

WOW - You Don’t Want to Miss this Gem of a Home by the Sea! Jane’s cottage on School Street couldn’t have been more of a delight! Arriving for a long, holiday weekend, everything that we could have wanted was in place! From doggie bowls for my Luna Belle 🐾, electrical strips at each seat and in the bedroom, half and half in the fridge for the all-important first cup of am coffee (or tea!) to the cozy furniture and screened in porch, it just would be hard to find anything nicer. Perhaps the very best value for travelers and weekenders to Maine, but without giving up a thing. You will feel like you’re returning to a home that you always loved and always missed. After unpacking and grabbing a courtesy water and power bar, walk down the street to the harbor and across the lighted footbridge into town. So beautiful! Check out Saturday am antiquing down the street at the local Rotary Club. Run your pup for and hour or longer at the large field behind Pinkham’s Gourmet Goods. And Pinkham’s lobster roll is a good bet. Drive to Southport and dine on the water at Robinson’s Wharf. Or venture up 27 to wait in line for a world-famous “Red’s Eats” lobster roll in Wiscasset.check it out online - voted Maine’s best lobster roll. Or just relax in Jane’s perfectly furnished retreat so close to the magical buzz of the harbor but far away enough for a solid night’s sleep. The bath shower is amazing and there’s a new washer and drier in case you plan a week. I can’t wait to return to this idyllic cottage by the sea. Five Stars!!! Jane is a wonderful hostess. She thinks of everything, snacks, reading material and everything is clean and charming! Do yourself a favor and rent with her. You won't be sorry!!
