We were just looking for a place last minute to see the total eclipse without clouds and traffic (and did!), but what a gem we stumbled on here. The sunset view from this place is absolutely gorgeous. The atmosphere outside is quiet and private and inside the cottage is so cozy and charming. You can really feel the history. The inside is much bigger than the images imply. There were four beds ready to use upstairs and two couches downstairs. Linda took great care of us and made sure the fireplace was already going strong when we arrived. Would love to return when we get another chance.

I thought it was a very nice quiet place to stay. A little bit of a drive to get to places but totally worth it.

Very quiet and peaceful. We should have read the handwritten note by the door when we arrived, not as we left! Green algae on the lake, so we didn’t swim and only took the kayaks out for a short paddle on the last day. Really enjoyed the beautiful surrounds, birds and sunsets. Screened in verandah is a big bonus.

Charming old cottage with everything you need to spend a wonderful and confortable stay. The plus for us was the big screen porch facing the lake.
