We had a good time at Leman Locke. A few things: - there was a weird mildew smell in bathroom that eventually went away - the AC was terrible and made a distracting noise every time it ran. - stains (small) on the couch - the bed was subpar Other than that it was definitely worth booking. Great area and the restaurant in the building is REALLY good.

Great place to stay next to the tube. I happened to stay in a stylish studio with stunning views and high end appliances. Very helpful and friendly staff. Also loved their coffee shop downstairs.

I find your experience will differ on who is at reception. It seems staff don't clearly or consistently communicate with each other about guests, so communication on WhatsApp can be a bit iffy, like someone just forgot what you asked for or what your circumstances were when shifts end. Some staff members I spoke to left my requests on read, or sounded unprofessional (they hardly seem to know how to Google things if they don't know what something is, or how to fix it). For example, Chromecast was broken and was never fixed for 2 weeks and was told "it only works on phones" which is obviously not the case for casting technology. Anyways, I made it work by fiddling with the wires at the back of the TV — which I suggested to staff to do way before they went in my room and they just said "Well it is a TV so my best recommendation will be to turn it on and off for some sort of restart." Unfortunately I also felt really ill at the end of my stay and was lacking a large vessel for water to drink from (like carafes or jugs Leman standardly offers in their fridges) so I kindly asked for one, but I was left on read by staff with a "🤔" even after I offered a photo of what I needed — which made their competency feel a lot worse. So this is not like other hotels, where they bring things up to your room or do any kind of room service. I wasn't notified of some deliveries so I left them at Leman without knowing, and sometimes would take an hour to get food up. The decor is neat (but not as high quality as they seem in photos) and it was overall okay. I truly had high hopes for this place. If you're not looking to spend time in your hotel or expect assistance from reception, it's an average place to crash in. Note that the cancellation policies are also vastly different depending on where you book i.e. Airbnb, WhatsApp, their website, etc. I was told by reception that I couldn't cancel my extension since I booked my initial stay through Airbnb — but it turns out since I booked that period through WhatsApp, they were actually allowed to cancel it.
