Unplug and enjoy! Looking to get away from it all, bring your family and friends to Top Lake and enjoy nature at it's finest. Nestled off-grid on a secluded lake this camp will allow you to enjoy life without the interruptions. No cell service, no wifi just you and the memories you'll make! Wood heat, propane stove, fridge, solar power system (summer only) for lights, hot showers and to charge "cameras" to capture it all! From a small family to a large group Top Lake can handle it all. Camp consists of 5 separate cabins: Sleeping Cabins (3) The Hide Away- 1 Queen bed with 1 single bed over top, 1 set single bunks in separate room The Little Sleeper- 1 queen bed with a double bed over top, and 1 set single bunks all in the same bedroom, with curtain dividers The Survivor- One bunk with King on bottom, Queen on top. King can be made up into two single beds if needed, and 1 set single bunks all in the same room Shower House/Utility Room -Has 2 complete washrooms with hot water via the lake and a propane on demand system. Water is not treated or processed in anyway. -In the utility room you will find a washing machine if needed. Clothes are line dried, also provided - There is also a back up fridge for use by large groups - All power for camp is provided by a solar system so supply for washing machine and fridge may be limited due to weather (consecutive overcast days) Main Cabin This is the focal point of camp, the kitchen, dining room and living room are located here. The Cabin also has a wonderful large lake front deck to sit on and enjoy the view. The camp fire is located just off the deck for easy access to the kitchen area. The deck also offers safe viewing for the horse shoe pitch located on the lake side. Beach New in 2021 is a rocky/sand beach on the lake shore below the cabins. This offers great access for swimming, or launching the canoe or paddle boards. The dock/raft is a great place to sit with your feet in the lake on a hot day or grab a paddle and take it out for a spin if you like to drift across the lake!
Truly this place exceeded my expectations! Beautiful location, private. I will defiantly go back!
very enjoyable time away. our group enjoyed the layout and the care put into the environment. thank you
We just finished a 2 day ladies weekend stay at top Lake Lodge. It was exactly what we all needed, we will book again. Beautiful place.
The area has many lakes for fishing (rainbow Trout) BC license required, and exploring. You certainly may fish in Top Lake but historically there is much better fishing in Peta Lake just 1 mile away. The area was heavily affected by the pine beetles in 06/07 which killed the majority of the pine trees. Since that time the dead timber has fueled several wild fires, the worst of which was the Shovel Lake fire in 2018. That fire burnt an area of 92 000 Hectares surrounding Top Lake before being contained. A picture book of our experience with that fire is in camp for renters to enjoy.
If you are more of a power sports enthusiast on the water, Fraser lake is located 25 miles from camp with Beaumont provincial park, beach and boat launch. While there are no restriction on the local lakes as far as motor sports, most of them are only accessible with smaller fishing boats because of the narrow roads, shallow boat launch's or narrow shallow water passages to access the lake (Peta is one such lake).
The roads in the area are used for logging activity so be cautious when traveling on them. There are many pullouts to use for meeting and passing logging trucks but remember they do have the right away. There is usually not much activity on the weekends .
As far as neighbors... usually none! It's a rare occasion to see a local come out to fish on Top Lake, I have never seen two boats on it at the same time, for all intents and purposes we call it our own private lake!
There is no public transportation available. There is ample free parking for vehicles and for RV's.
自我介绍
I am a physiotherapist married to a dairy farmer. We live near Spruce Grove Alberta. We have 5 children and soon 10 grandchildren. We enjoy gardening, travelling, and spending time with family and friends. When we travel we mostly like to do things where we can get to know people and have conversations with them as opposed to just being part of a very large crowd. As guests we are very helpful, as hosts we tend to go a bit excessive with meals and making sure people have what they need. Currently our life motto is: we will sleep when we are old, right now we have stuff to do!
