Sharon and Pat are so welcoming and such lovely people. Their home is gorgeous and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful! I checked in and went out to grab some food, and Sharon had cookies waiting for me when I got back. She prepared a wonderful breakfast for me the next morning. The bedroom I stayed in was clean and nicely decorated as was the restroom. The bed was so comfortable. I wouldn't change a thing! I look forward to staying there again soon. When you arrive, you will probably be greeted by some friendly dogs who will accompany you should you decide to explore the property. That made it feel just like home! I highly recommend staying at Sharon and Pat's if you're in this part of the Flint Hills.

This place was set in such a gorgeous location and though it was a little off the beaten track it was perfectly 15 minutes away from my event. Sharon is so kind and accommodating and I would definitely stay here again!!

The house is as described. To minimize travel on dirt roads, get GPS directions from Burdick. The hosts are very hospitable. The Flint Hills are very calming.

We stopped at Sharon and Pat's at the end of our spring vacation to Missouri. Other than being there on a night when Kansas was rife with tornadoes (!) it was nice and quiet. Their home is nestled in a valley in the scenic Flint Hills, a very historic area. Our room at the top of the stairs provided a comfortable, welcomed respite. We were greeted by their friendly dogs when we came. We appreciated the opportunity to get to know both of our hosts a little more, who we sensed could become good friends if only we had more time together. Sharon's breakfasts were very tasty and inventive, and she made extra effort to make our stay more enjoyable. They are both very interesting people who continue to give themselves to their particular areas or fields of interest. We hope to meet up with them again, someday.
