Copperleigh Trout Lodge is a double story self-catering unit built next to the calm waters of the 10ha trout stocked Mavela Dam, a fly fisherman's dream. Our sheep and beef cattle farm is located in picturesque Dargle, with the popular Midlands Meander and it's many activities nearby. Only 1h30min from Durban and 30mins from the town of Howick. A quiet place for families & friends to relax and catch up, fish for trout, bird watch or hike up Inhlosane mountain which is just a short drive away. It is a two story house located on Copperleigh Farm. The open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room are located on the ground floor along with the garage and guest toilet. Complimentary bundle of firewood is provided each morning. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs (2 have queen size beds and the loft room is perfect for 4 children as it has a bunk bed and a queen size bed ); two bathrooms which each feature a shower & toilet. Kids love the farm animals, there's a large garden to play in, a kayak and tractor tube to swim in the dam with. Indoor entertainment includes TV with DSTV Premium, free WiFi, boardgames, toys and books.

Breathtakingly beautiful and serene. Exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated, this is a warm and cozy getaway, perfect for a family.
Comfortable and warm beds, super well-equiped kitchen, and great DVD collection! Bathrooms are also excellent. The location is incredible.
Stunning space. The home and surroundings are out of this world. Ashley is very responsive and was such a gracious host. I'll definitely be back!
Absolutely wonderful stay. Over and above the stunning home with gorgeous views, there were lovely spoils like the fresh eggs from their chickens and milk and orange juice in the fridge. Very clean and modern with everything you need for the most wonderful holiday. We cannot wait to return!!!
This cottage is comfortable, spacious and very well equipped. Everything you need for a lengthy self-catering stay is in place. Although some distance from the main meander area, the cottage is excellently placed for a day outing to the meander, and is located in a stunning area with loads of birdlife. We'd highly recommend Copperleigh Trout Cottage for a longer getaway from a busy life. You'll definitely feel rejuvenated after a few days here.

A 2-3 hour drive away, head up the spectacular Sani Pass into Lesotho (bring your passport!)
You will require your own vehicle, as we are a 30km drive away from Howick which is the nearest town.
