Our traditional stone houses Spitia Anoi and Katoi are located at the village of Tsaliana, 5km from the centre of Paleochora, a 10' drive away. Anoi or Upper Floor House can accommodate up to 7 guests. The location is private and totally safe. Both Spitia Houses have been restored with materials recycled entirely from other old houses of the village and crafted with great love and attention, aiming to take you back in time and give you a taste of the old Cretan life. As you arrive at the village and open the front gate of your own, personal little haven you know that this experience is going to be unforgettable! As you walk on to the stone patio with the old wooden table under the lemon tree and get to the front door you start to go back in time. If you're looking for the perfect, private holiday home, filled with living breathing history and old Cretan life, love and warm hospitality, then this house in the small village of Tsaliana is just that!

Sweet cottage in the middle of nowhere (but only 10 minutes to beaches by car). Excellent night sky, sometimes very windy! Very friendly and charming hostess, plenty and detailled recommendations for beaches, restaurants etc. in the vicinity. Cute cats! We (small family) loved it!

Das Appartement ist sehr ästhetisch und ausgezeichnet ausgestattet. Michalis, Anna und Olivia sind tolle Gastgeber. Das Appartment liegt in den Bergen bei Paleochera. Es gibt einen kleinen Bach mit Orangenbäumen gleich nebenan und auch 2 süße Katzen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Spitia Team ist professionell. Es handelt sich um eine herausragende Unterkunft. Auch die Terrasse ist wunderschön. Mit Ofen und Heizung auch im Winter geeignet.
We had a very good time at Spitia Anoi. The communication with Anna before our stay was uncomplicated and she provides you with an extensive list of activities you can (&should) do in the area. The apartment itself is a little quiet paradise in the hills 10 minutes drive from Paleochora. Hence, a car is an absolute necessity. The place is perfect for a combination of exploring the beaches, strolling through Paleochora, or just enjoying the calm in the apartment. We very much hope to return!

Walking along the river Sarakiniotis which flows by the house and crossing over to the hill you will find an old church and the ruins of a late Minoan settlement. At the top of the hill which is between the rivers Sarakiniotis and Voutakiotis the view is amazing. It's a short way from the house, covered in wild flowers perfect to decorate the house and fill it with their scent.

Free parking of a total of 3 cars is available on site.
Getting around requires a car in general, though visitors involved in cycling and walking will find this piece of refuge an ideal spot for their activities.
