La casa es pequeña, yo la pondría como para 4 personas. Está lejos de la playa de Peñíscola, lo que hay cerca son calas. Es necesario el coche para todo. No está tan bien como parece en las imágenes. Necesita un lavado de cara importante sobre todo en la ducha. Lo que si seria importante es añadir aire acondicionado o más ventiladores. En general nos hemos apañado bien.
Appartement agréable. Jolie résidence, agencement fonctionnel. Quartier calme l'hiver. Peniscola est une jolie ville. Sofiane est facilement joignable et efficace.
I am reviewing the experience, not the location itself. Therefore I have to say it was negative. If the issues can be resolved, who knows…? Check in and settling in goes a long way to shaping an experience and this was infuriating to the point that it became funny…but not so funny. The location given on Airbnb is useless but that doesn’t matter because the host (who is absent) sent some very direct instructions to meet her “caretaker” in a supermarket car park, and specific time frames to contact him. But he might read your messages, he might reply, it’s hard to tell. The host and caretaker clearly don’t communicate very well, but my opinion is that the caretaker is making fun of the host and her guests. He eventually replied to me to say “no we meet here” which was another inaccurate location near the house (on WhatsApp, despite being asked for a Google maps link so I can, y’know, use it to navigate). And his verbal description wasn’t any better. So that’s 3 inaccurate locations in a rural spot. Frustrating, shall we say? Then a very brusque woman came out to “let me in” and that’s it. No detail about WiFi, key return, recycling etc. That’s an easy fix for the host, just print a welcome pack. Then I notice the piled up “clean” dishes from a previous guest, no bin bags, no dishcloths, minimal bum paper and so on. The host is oblivious, the caretaker claims all he does is the key. Astounding… It took him 7 hours and a prompt from the host to reply to a message he’d read hours ago on the subject. I don’t know… Oh, and hair from at least four people on the bathroom tiles (above head height). I would guess because the cleaner uses the same mop on all surfaces, including the walls. No other explanation. I certainly don’t have long curly brown hair, but there’s one dangling from the cabinet over the bath. Now for the apartment. Old, tired furnishings and you can hear the neighbours fart from 4 directions. Absolute echo chamber with no soundproofing at all. I actually feel sorry for them, having to listen to airbnb’ers all the time. Check out was just as farcical as check in. Pretty bad. But a nice location… I could go on, but you get the idea.
