Noi viaggiavamo in bici, avevamo avuto problemi e abbiamo chiamato e messaggiato perché saremmo arrivati alle 20.00, tenendoci larghi. Non abbiamo avuto risposta però. Arriviamo, giriamo intorno all'abitazione e dopo un po' si fa avanti una vicina che chiama qualche parente di Laura e si fa dire dove sono le chiavi. Ok, siamo entrati, ma avevo iniziato a pensare di aver preso un bidone visto che non avevo risposte per telefono. L'abitazione da fuori è vecchiotta; all'interno altrettanto ma è stata sistemata cercando di spendere il meno possibile. Le finestre sono vecchie e monovetro, il pavimento credo di cemento con sopra una vernice nera, le pareti sono state dipinte senza togliere tutte le vecchie croste, le porte sono dei pannelli di OSB dipinti di bianco, i letti con rete a molle e infossati. La vasca era un po' incrostata.

this farmhouse is off the beaten track a bit and if you are biking it's up a hill at the end of the day. The beds are comfy and it is a quiet, restful location. The farmhouse is somewhat modernized. The kitchen is minimal but has everything - the stove is a 2 burner hotplate. You have to switch cords and plugs if you want to have light, kettle and hot plate use at the same time without unplugging the fridge. But it's clean, quiet and comfy. Be sure to bring bath soap.

What a delightful place, with lots of bric a brac thoughtfully arranged to create a cosy space. I loved the feeling of being in an old farm house in the countryside. It is very close to Aschach so did not pose a problem for us accessing the Danube bike trail. A washing machine and toaster would have been useful but lack of these did not diminish the charm of the home. The beds were comfortable. I agree with the host that it would probably be cold in winter but summer meant the house was lovely and cool on a hot day.

It was fun staying in an original Austrian farm house. The location is beautiful and close to many restaurants.
