We came for a family reunion with 8 adults and 7 kids ranging from 4 to 13. There were age appropriate activities for everyone, and many games that could be brought outside and enjoyed by all ages. In addition to the game tables and shuffle board in the barn, there were puzzles, videos, books, a pool table and a lot of classic board games in the main house. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, and included a variety of spices, cooking oils, and everything you would expect to find in a real kitchen where people cooked. We especially enjoyed the outside fire pit and s'mores in the evening. The property was inviting with room for the smaller kids to run all of their energy off, and great spaces for hide-n-seek. Two of the major bedrooms had room for a young child and the other two were well sized, with room for suitcases and comfy beds. A large area downstairs was perfect for the cousins! The most comfortable place we have ever been! Trust Alvina's descriptions, It is that good!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Fat Racoon! Alvina and Bob’s place is really set up with hosting guests in mind - everything was well stocked and all instructions were very clear. Gina was very helpful too. The property is beautiful and the house was very clean. There are so many special touches in the house, between the fun decor throughout the house, the comfortable beds and the clawfoot tub in the upstairs bathroom. We loved the Games Barn and playing badminton outside. We can’t wait to book A & B’s place again for another ladies weekend away!

We had a lovely family gathering where each had enough space to spread out. There was something for everyone's individual needs, a workout room, state of the art kitchen with everythingyou need, (we even found Birthday candles!) loads of games, outdoor area for fireplace and more games. But what really stood out for me was the screened in patio, it was perfect for cool evenings, with warm candles and blankets. Thank you Alvina, for the space, your quick responses and efforts to accommodate us all!
