We had a lovely and relaxing stay at Abernant Barn. It’s in an absolutely stunning location, right next to the river and in the middle of the countryside. We spent the week totally relaxing, enjoying the hot tub, fishing and watching the birds, of which there are many!! The house was awesome, we loved the open plan feel, the kitchen was lovely and had lots of utensils which was handy. The beds were comfy, hot tub fab. And if you have a dog there was a utility area and a washing machine! The nearest large supermarkets were about a 25 minute drive, so I would advise stocking up before getting here if you don’t want to leave the relaxing bubble. The pub was a short walk and served typical pub type food. The landlady there was really chatty and friendly, it’s dog friendly and quirky. There is a small convenience store and a garage in the village. Pen Y Fan was about a 45 minute drive but well worth it. It’s definitely perfect if you like being outdoors or holiday with your dog!

Great having field and river on door step. No water or under floor heating but we were warned and plenty of wood provided. Had to boil kettle to wash up , there was a dishwasher. Electric shower a little temperamental with temperature for 6 people. Towels on the small side. Tesco delivery met at railway station . Other air b and bs have provided nice welcoming touches No soap / shampoos No milk or loaf of bread, oil.

A group of 6 of us stayed at Abernant Barn for the Real Ale Wobble mountain bike event. The location is fantastic and it feels like there is no one else for miles. Despite that its only a 10-15 minute walk to the village although in winter you will need to walk down a muddy track so dress accordingly! There was an issue with the boiler during out stay which meant no heating or hot water which Bernie communicated to us in advance. This did not turn out to be an issue as it was not cold and the log burner and provided heaters kept the house warm and the shower is electric. Enjoyed the stay and would definitely book again.

Lovely place, parking was a slight issue due to us having a number of vehicles and unable to turn around. Heating and hot water wasn't working due to waiting for boiler parts but plenty of electric heaters supplied to make up for it.
