“Simply put, this is an outstanding property. The owners have worked hard to create an intelligently designed and beautifully constructed villa, which easily surpasses the quality of many of the leading design hotels in which we have previously stayed. The house is spacious and easily accommodates a group of families. The furniture, kitchens and bathrooms are of a very high standard and the audio-visual technology (from the impressive cinema room to the large Samsung mirror TVs in every bedroom) is superb. The stunning Boffi kitchen is a surprising choice for a rental property and tends to suggest that guests are invited to stay in a property that the owner has created for himself, rather than for business. The Spa pool is large, warm and a welcome alternative to the outdoor pools on days that are too hot (as on occasion during a July stay) or too cold (as happened during an April stay). The steam rooms and sauna are of a high, commercial standard, as is the jacuzzi. The outdoor areas offer lots of purpose-built shade, dining areas with fantastic scenery, a wood-fired oven and barbecue (each of which we used to good effect) and a heated pool with a large shallow area that is good for children or for lazing in the sun. The house also has high-speed wifi, Miele laundry facilities, a gym and substantial grounds (including an olive grove and vegetable garden, from which we were encouraged to harvest our own supplies). Gianluca was an excellent host, answering our questions promptly and doing all that he could to accommodate our requests. In short, this property deserves to be booked out, all year round. I cannot believe that Gianluca will continue to rent the property indefinitely and can only recommend booking it now, before it’s gone.”
