I stayed at Aziz for several weeks and I loved the experience. Aziz and his relatives are lovely and they made me feel at home right away. The house is perfectly located in the centre of M’Hamid. All main cafés and restaurants can be reached with a 2-minute walk. There is also a supermarket where you can get food and other stuff. The desert is close, meaning that after work I could enjoyed my free time among the dunes! If you’re working online keep in mind that at times the wifi can be a bit slow. If this happens, you can head to the Rose du Sud. It’s a little café, about two-minute walking from Aziz’s place with super fast wifi. Get a coffee for about a euro and no one would bother you until the place close at night! A must for digital nomads 🙂 Thank you again Aziz for everything!
We had a very special time staying at Mohamed's place, right at the end of town, bordering the desert. He welcomed us with a lovely vegetarian dinner. The next day we went on a 2 day desert trip that he organised for us. It was a memorable experience, walking, riding camels, driving a 4x4, right into what felt the deep desert. A very authentic experience, lovely company, incredible scenery. Highly recommended!
Mohamed, was a fabulous host. His brother picked us up from the CTM bus stop and took us to the house. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
Très bon accueil avant séjour dans le désert. Tout est très bien organisé et l'expérience est inoubliable. Dormir à Mhamid permet de partir tranquille en laissant la voiture garée au logement.

I am Mohamed a native nomad (aziz) . I was born in centre of Sahara, in a popular settlement desert deeper, of course my exact date of birth is unknown as most of people who were born in desert. The first years of my life were spent in Sahara conducting the innocencent nomadic lifestyle along with my parents. One day I had to abandon my lifestyle to come with my parents to settle down in the village of M'hamid Alghizlan due to borders issues between Morocco and Algeria. I still live in the village now, close to my family and my roots. I want to keep this privileged link that I have with the desert. I love welcome people and listen their stories. I have hosted people for 3 years. I feel grateful for all I have learnt and what people who cross my way taught me during this experience. I am open minded and respectful.
