Staying on the 5J ranch was a great experience. Springtime in the Texas hill country is something to see, and the 5J is a beautifully maintained property with acres to roam and lots to explore. The Sable lodge where we stayed was perfect for us. Cool ranch house design, comfortable and fun. Topping it off, Clay and his family showed us some amazing hospitality. Highly recommend if central TX is on your list.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay. I had a group of people for a guys trip. We did some hog hunting in San Saba and then did a pheasant hunt on the ranch. The house was amazing, comfortable, and clean. For dinner each night we grilled out in front of the house on the charcoal grill or fire pit. The views are spectacular and you are able to get away from everything and relax. I would recommend to anyone looking to have a relaxing get away to stay here. Clay and Jacob are also great to work with. They are really friendly and accommodating.

Loved staying at this beautiful place. The ranch was outstandingly gorgeous. We saw lots of amazing exotic animals driving to the Sable Lodge. There were even zebras running next to our car. The house was fully stocked with lots of waters, coffee, soft lux towels and super comfy beds. Everything was PERFECT and more than we could have imagined. Thank you. Thank you. Hope we can come back someday and kick our heels up, enjoy the quiet and look at the stars.
