Property was clean overall, but lacked general maintenance. Several ripped or missing screens. We had to install the window A/C units that were also old and tattered. Bedroom shade taped together, bathroom fan needs to be cleaned. We had no issues with guests staying in attached apartment. Quick walk to downtown. Easy check-in and responsive host. With a little maintenance this would be a great property.

We stayed at this cottage for MV marathon weekend. There were challenges that would make me hesitant to book again. Pros Clean and good for small group Easily walkable to center and accessible to bus lines Cons Inconsistent information. We were never given a passcode to the lockbox; we received information that said it would be sent to us via email the day before and in another message, the morning of. Neither occured and it required a long time on the phone for the code The stove and oven did not work when we arrived. Another long phone call to address. They sent a maintenance person to fix but we had to find another option for dinner and could not use the groceries we bought. We book to use the kitchen especially on a race weekend For the price we would expect more reliability and service. I would think twice before booking again due to the time to resolve issues and lack of communication

This place has a lot of deferred maintenance; the place feels neglected. As an example the bathroom light fixture had one of the three bulbs that worked and it went out the last morning of our stay. It’s in a great location to central Edgartown. The three small window air conditioners were noisy and struggled to keep the place cool. The place looks very different from the pictures; it feels very tired.

When we booked our trip on Airbnb, it was not clear that this is a split property. There are two units; shared parking, a shared entry, and a shared back yard. This was very disappointing and not what we had anticipated for our stay. The couple who stayed on the right side, arrived on the same day and were also unaware of the shared setup. The interior was ok, but nothing special. The kitchen had very little and everything seemed dirty. We liked the cozy family room and location. The beds were uncomfortable and the traffic from the four way stop was noticeable. Overall the value was not worth it. We have stayed in other Airbnbs and had great experiences, this was very disappointing. Based on the shared aspect and lack of comfort, we wish that we had booked a hotel downtown. We do not plan to return.
