Great location with public access one block away and two public boat launches within a mile! *ASK FOR THE BOAT DOCK!!! *The public access is forest beach park, only 1 block away, small beach, Swimmable. *Very close to several local wedding venues, Mill creek barn, blue dress barn & reception venues! * 1 mile away from Hays Park and Paw Paw river county Park where you easily launch kayak and canoe. Hiking and fishing on the 14 acres island, kids playground, skate park, basketball court and a baseball diamond. Paw Paw lake river trail is a wonderful place for Water sports! rent a kayak, tube or canoe in town, spend all day at the river trail. *3 minutes driving distance to gorgeous Paw Paw Lake golf course. *5 minutes to two public boat launches. *5 minutes to Surfari Joe’s indoor Water park. *Wineries & Breweries touring throughout the area, there are two native wineries in town that are part of southwest Michigan Wine country trail. *15 minutes to Silver beach in St Joseph by the Lake Michigan. *20 minutes to South & North beach in South haven by the Lake Michigan. *35 minutes to Oval Beach and sand dune in Saugutuck by the Lake Michigan. *Ice fishing is very popular as the channels freeze sooner and stay frozen longer than open lakes. *Many Orchards you can visit in the middle to late Summer and earliy fall. Pick your own peaches, apples, pumpkins and take hayride through orchards at harvest festival time! Nice place, needs some maintenance and some upgrades
The house was perfect for our family. Location was great. Only wished we had lake access for our visit from our yard! Would definitely recommend this home to family and friends. Would have like a keypad on the garage door. That would have been convenient. Some of the rooms could use painting!
It was a perfect size for our group of 12 women. Plenty of space for socializing with the open floor plan. Nice deck to sit on and enjoy the beautiful lake view. The home was clean & well maintained. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
Qiuyan really is a superhost! The house was in a beautiful location that overlooked Lake PawPaw. It was peaceful, but close enough to allow plenty of activities-berry picking, nature center, winery visits, and trips to Lake Michigan in the beautiful towns of St. Joseph and South Haven. Our grandchildren really enjoyed the calm water and jumping from the dock at the public beach just a block from the house on Lake PawPaw. We were pleasantly surprised at how well the kitchen was equipped and the ample supply of paper products that Qiuyan provided. We are looking forward to another visit!
Owner was extremely responsive when we needed batteries, propane for the fire area and an early check in. We did have some cleaning suggestions which are not worth putting here, but were discussed with the owner. The checkin / checkout information sheet was very helpful, but should discuss how to rent a boat on the lake. Overall, we were happy and would return.
