This place needs lot of maintenance. Small things like running hot water, a hot water cattle, stool in bathroom, Many things are missing. AC was very noisy , could not use it at all. Food was good. caretakers are good but not very prompt.

hi all this is Arnab, and I very fortunate to find this property it was the fastest I have ever booked I always wanted to go to and stay at a place close to the sea and this was a perfect retreat it has everything that we wanted close to see and clean flexible and good food, very peaceful place. and most important they had Wi-Fi.

This place has 3 bedrooms on 1st floor which are spacious, well lit & air conditioned. Ground floor they have care takers staying in. This place is super close to a massive, nice beach. However, a few things to note; 01. They serve tasty food, but there was definitely lack of satisfaction. We ordered 3 plates of Kajuchi Usal & it was delicious hence we asked for another one & they refused as they do not keep any extra to r3duce good wastage. If next time, I'd arrange for food elsewhere. 02. Google map misguided us, which might happen to you as well. People around know where this place exactly is, so they'll help you out. 03. Place needs a maintenance check. Also pictures on this app are a little misguiding. You won't be able to see any ocean from any room or dining place as there are tries in the middle. 04. Place is not surrounded by any convenient store or wine shop, so truly quiet ( unless locals are around) hence carry what you need with you.

Bayoakkas cottage is very conveniently located less than 50 metres from the beach. The beach here is the cleanest by far vis-a-vis any other beach I've seen in India. There is just one shop to serve you snacks and that's it! No foul fish smell or chaos like other commercial beaches. If you decide to take a long walk, the same beach belt takes you to the main Guhagar beach. At the cottage, staff is extremely helpful. They also serve delicious fresh food here just that you need to tell them in advance - that's the reason it is fresh. If you don't, they'll still serve you but options will then be limited. They buy fresh fish according to your liking. It has 3 rooms on the first floor which they let out. one of them is facing the beach and also has private access to the common dinning area and the other two are on the back side but have nice coconut tree views too. If you want a spacious room then the beach facing one is better. Every room has one double bed and one single bed. We were traveling with our 8 month old and needed to prepare food every now and then. They have a room on the ground floor where we could do this. This made our stay really comfortable. I would suggest that you take your soaps and cleaning equipment with you. The swing on the ground floor is an added attraction here :)
