Our South Haven Retreat is situated in a peaceful, quiet setting just minutes from all the activities that the South Haven area has to offer. Easily accessible from the interstate, (less than one mile) it is the perfect location for both convenience and privacy. It provides a wonderful retreat for friends, couples, solo adventurers and business travelers. We welcome families! Two of the best features of our property are privacy and spaciousness. We can easily park 8-10 cars on the premises. The large circular driveway is perfect for children and bicycles! The spacious back yard easily accommodates all types of outdoor games, some of which we provide. The fire pit provides a great gathering place in the evenings.

Our lakehouse retreat exceeded expectations. Beautiful home in a private setting for our multi generation family. Val and Rod went out of their way to provide yard games and toys for the under five set. The millennials created Flight of the Valkyrie videos as they raced each other on the driveway on the scooters. South Beach is a 6 minute drive and beautiful Saint Basil's Church is a welcoming community for visitors. Thanks for enabling the wonderful family holiday. Excellent and gracious hosts!

Our family enjoyed our time at this great, well-equipped home. Sipping coffee on the front porch and watching/listening to the birds. Gathering around the fire pit and roasting marshmallows. Watching a movie together on the big screen enjoying the surround sound. Clean, comfortable and private.
Val and Rod's beautiful, spacious home is a great place to simply hang out or enjoy all of the activities of South Haven. Their house has many amenities, like ping pong, movie theater, workout equipment, games, bocce, that you wouldn't have to ever leave the property. We loved being able to walk to pick blueberries. We rented bikes and Val and Rod's place is 1/4 mile from the Van Buren Trail. You can bike south to Van Buren State Park or north to South Haven. Pilgrim Haven and Deerlick Creek are small, rocky beaches that are close to this home.
Beautiful, large home with a great location. Short drive to South Haven and Saugatuck. Very clean with a wonderful front porch, theater room and fantastic backyard with grill, lots of seating and fire pit. 11 in our group but we could have easily accommodated a more people with still having plenty of space.

Our property is two miles from downtown South Haven. It has always been a very safe neighborhood. Our lot is large and nicely landscaped with beautiful maple and oak trees in the front and open sunny spaces in the back. There is ample parking for several cars. Although there are neighbors close by, the setting is very private. With Lake Michigan less than 1/4 mile away, we are close to beaches, (including Van Buren State Park) bike trails, farm markets, a nature preserve, shopping, grocery stores, churches, etc. Our spacious home has large informal rooms and common areas, both inside and out, that provide plenty of opportunities to gather for conversation, to play games, read, eat or just sit and relax.
Onsite parking, Rural neighborhood, bicycle or short drive to downtown, bike trails and nearby beaches, including State Park.

My wife and I are semi-retired. We have lived in South Haven most of our lives and we love our beautiful little lakeside community. It was a great place to raise our family, and now that our children are grown and gone, we love sharing it with others. Our home feels best when it is filled with the warmth and laughter of people having a good time in the spaces that we have created. We love cooking and entertaining, playing games, watching movies, traveling, music, (one of us likes motorcycles!).
