Sooo close (e~z walkable) to the Lake and Dog Friendly Village. The embracing and welcoming "Ahhhdorable" Vintage Cottage will be perfect for a visit to Big Bear! Ahhhdorable and Romantic 1920's cabin has its roots in the history with the old days and ways of Very Early Big Bear. It was the First Aid cabin station that all the fisherman, cabin renters, boy scouts and campers visited for their minor medical needs, as it was centrally located. You will see some of the discovered vintage pictures, treasures and artifacts "shadow boxed" displayed that we found while remodeling the cabin! We purchased this cabin as a true VERY Vintage Original, yearning for its own historical restoration needs and rescue it we did! That sweet little cabin has been completely remodeled and upgraded with maximum considerations and in the nicest ways for your personal enjoyment and comfort. There are three different flavored Apple Trees for Autumn pickings (starting September-ish) and who doesn't LOVE the smell of homemade baking hot Apple Pie inside of an Ahhhdorable Vintage Cottage in Big Bear? You will enjoy the fragrant pine air, the location (walkable straight to the Village) and the cozy very embracing environment. It even has a (heating) gas fireplace, it's also a heater, and a Summer Air Conditioner. Now a "heads up" on this: TRY to stay at least TWO Nights. To drive up one day to check in at 3pm only to turn around and have to pack-up and leave the next day by 11am cuts what your true vacation up in the mountains can provide for you! TRY to stay at least two nights so you can have a free day in the middle (of driving up and down the mountain) to enjoy being in the basic center of Big Bear! You are so near to the fun walkable Village (leashed dogs allowed!) and eating and exploring and relaxing! Just think about it! You deserve this experience and you have earned the time off! Oh! The place was small but comfortable and had what we needed! It’s close to shopping areas and a short walk to the lake.
This ahhhdorable cottage is exactly what we expected, and more! Great communication with Cynthia, easy check-in, a very cute & clean cottage, and a few unexpected “extras,” like all the delicious teas available to us. We walked to the village since it’s, literally, around the corner. Lots of shops & restaurants nearby. I highly recommend the ahhdorable cabin for a weekend getaway!
Cynthia’s place was perfect! Across the street from the lake and steps to the main street in town. Had every amenity that you could want. Cynthia was so kind and helpful and proactive. I Would gladly recommend staying here. Thank you, Cynthia.
Great location and super walkable to the lake, village, and plenty of restaurants. Cute, cozy, and quiet place. Would recommend!
It was just as advertised. We loved the history and quaintness. Also loved how close it is to the lake and the shopping district. Once parked, there was no need to drive for dinner or shopping. It is a very old home but very well cared for.

The lake, swim beach, fishing, boat rentals and other recreational activities are all within walking distance of the cabin. Walking to the pet friendly (dogs must be leashed-we have also provided a pet stroller) Village is a cinch. And you are just a couple of miles from the slopes. That Cottage is close to everything!
It is a nice and easy walk to the Village shops, so just leave your car parked in the driveway.

My beloved ("Santa" (yes he is!) and I live in the San Fernando Valley. I am in the Beauty Business (work at a small salon, and love it) and by trade, "Santa" is a historical restoration contractor and works for all the Los Angeles museums making and painting walls, vitrines, plexi showcases and bases for all the art and artifacts. In late November he "dawns the Red Suit" and takes the rest of the year to represent "Santa." And he is great at it. We have pride of ownership for our Ahhhdorable Vintage Cottage AND our 1940's Lakeside Vintage Cabin you are now considering and refresh and renew them often. "Tending to the Cottage and the Lakeside Cabin " for our Air BnB guests is a hobby we truly love and enjoy.
