得梅因市 · 整套平房 · 2室2床1.0卫 · 可住4人 · 1947’s Bungalow in the Historic Highland Park Area
Welcome to my 1947 Highland Park Bungalow in the Post WWII/Art Deco style with some modern touches. Wonderful location to many amenities. Downtown, Drake University, a Major bike trail and marina for canoeing/kayaking the Des Moines River. Clean and cozy with a slightly challenging driveway. There is off street parking though and you can use the garage. Location, location, location!! Cozy and quiet in an older neighborhood that’s experiencing some revitalization. Converting the basement into a game room hang out space.
This was my third stay at Kim’s bungalow and it won’t be the last. Kim is an excellent host. Her communication is always clear and concise. The house has always been very clean and ready for us at check in. Kim is proactive and keeps the home in excellent repair. The one time we had an issue with a drain (that she had already addressed before our arrival) she immediately engaged a plumber to rectify the problem. She was genuinely concerned for any inconvenience that it may have caused us! The house is adorable! The decor is right up my alley and gives this cozy place so much character! The kitchen is well appointed to handle full meals. The patio area and back yard are a nice place to relax after a long day in business meetings. We really enjoy staying here when we are in the Des Moines area and look forward to visiting our home away from home! Thanks, Kim!
Kims place was very clean, supplied with most everything you would need. She was available by phone to help with any issues encountered. Information was provided in an appropriate amount of time. It was situated approx 5 miles from the university which was our goal.
This is a real cute place. If youre looking for a reasonable place to stay in DesMoines this is great. Close to just about everything!
My stay at the Bungalow was excellent! Kim was a great host - very communicative and accommodating. The house was very clean, especially the bathroom and kitchen. Clear instructions and rules. Quiet neighborhood and easy drive to downtown. River trail a short walk away was a plus. I would definitely stay here again!
The Highland Park Historical area is going through some major renovations currently which is drawing new businesses to the area. There are two great restaurants in the area, Chuck’s and Chicago Speakeasy.
There is a city bus stop just a couple of blocks from the Bungalow. Uber is an inexpensive ride to downtown and other attractions.
When leaving the neighborhood, don’t use 14th to enter Euclid Ave it has limited visibility. Use either 16th (to go West) or 11th (going East) as it’s a controlled intersection.
