Gorgeous old house situated right in the heart of historic Manningtree. A real treat to wake up facing the water in a place that felt like home from home. Kate is a lovely attentive host who made us feel very welcome. We would definitely like to stay here again.

Just back from six wonderful nights at the cottage. It was everything that we expected and more. From start to finish Kate was a great host and extremely responsive to emails. We know the area well and it fitted perfectly with our plans. To wake up in the morning and look down the road too 'The Walls' and the Estuary gave a great start to the day. The location is perfect for exploring the North Essex and Suffolk countryside. The Town of Manningtree has some great pubs and a small wine bar that were great for an evening drink as well as a couple of restaurants and takeaways. All had been set up well to cope with the social distancing. Great to see the hospitality trade re-opening. Many thanks Kate and we look forward to another visit later this year. Matt & Jane

A great little cottage in a very pretty (tiny) town, just big enough for a family of four with young-ish children. Kate was very helpful from the get-go, answering my questions and providing a lot of information about things to do locally. Whilst there is no parking at the cottage itself, there is plentiful on-street parking literally a minute's walk away. The cottage itself is rustic but clean and comfortable. We didn't find the bed particularly comfortable (or large) but this is personal preference. There's no shower but a nice roll-top bath. Some great places to eat just minutes from the house, plus a small beach and walks to suit all ambitions. Highly recommend.
