Such a wonderful experience to stay in a heritage home inside the enclave of Khotchi Wadi within the Mumbai city limits. Accessible by the Marine Line train & Bus, also an ambitious walk about Marine Drive. I personally stayed so I could be up early & take photos of the neighborhood, but the bonus of being close to Colaba, Fort, & Churchgate is a plus. Pandu, the house valet, is very friendly & attentive and James Ferreira was also a pleasure to meet.

This is a truly spectacular way to stay more authentically in Mumbai! The local area is great to explore, and you can be in all the right places quickly! Main highlights and reasons for the raving review: 1) Pandu - he made it a really great stay and took great care of us! Knowing he is around makes it feel really safe as well. 2) Comfort and amenities - the room is beautiful, authentic, cosy and has everything you want for home comfort - good wifi, good air con and hot water shower. Also a note that it is completely private with its own entrance so don’t worry about going out and coming back late. If you forgot to pack linen shirts, you can also buy them from the store upstairs! The room is in James Ferreiras house, so you can look him up on Instagram as well! Loved staying here, and have nothing negative to say. If you rent a car, just be careful not to drive down the lane from the main road towards it - gets very narrow.

Wonderful spot! Amazing home in a very cool neighborhood. The room is also quite comfortable. Definitely stay here if you have the opportunity.
