We absolutely loved our one night stay at Jim and Toni Kay’s place. We met Jim the following morning and he was so enjoyable to speak with. We bought some of their Alpaca wool yarn that came from their alpaca Star and an alpaca yarn wrap. We then were able to go out and meet all their alpacas and my daughter could feed them. It felt like we were visiting and staying with family. They are quick to respond to messages. It was very quiet and we had our own private place. We had a kitchen that was super helpful. Comfortable beds. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking for a safe place to sleep and want to experience a mini farm experience. So much more I could say about this wonderful place. Thank you, Jim and Toni Kay.
Fun and cozy! Kids loved it. Everyone slept well. Farm fresh eggs were delicious.
Grande maison très bien équipée. Tout ce qu'il faut pour cuisiner et très bonne literie. Au calme mais proche de Capito Reef. Les enfants ont adoré les alpages le matin et tous les jeux et crayons pour les enfants. Commerces et essence en ville à 5 minutes en voiture.
We had a great stay, lovely place for families. Great hospitality and a well-appointed space. Beautiful surrounding landscape. We stayed here after taking the scenic Highway 12 and visiting Capitol Reef. Note that you’re in a remote area and the local grocery closes around 7:30, so plan ahead for food and provisions. The experience at their place reminds me of what AirBnB’s used to be like years ago; real experiences with real locals. Highly recommend a stay here if you’re in the area.

We are long time residents of Loa. We have a large pile of kids but only 3 left at home. I am a dental assistant that works in Richfield. Jim is a full time wildlife habitat biologist and also works as a reserve deputy. We have a pet boarding kennel at our home. We love animals. We have a large variety of animals usually. Our family enjoys singing, plays, hunting, hiking, farming, meeting people, gardening, football, and filling our days with work, fun, and friends.
