Lovely stay and perfect for multiple families.

We spent 3 days here in early March, and would love to come back. The location was gorgeous and rustic, on a narrow peninsula, with the kitchen and its picture windows surrounded by the beautiful lake on 3 sides. The house worked great for our multi-generational family gathering, though there were some hazards for the little ones to be mindful of (stairs to lofts, ladders to bunk beds, strange little "gangplank" by the stairs to the basement.) The beds were comfortable, the seating in the great room was fantastic, the kitchen was well-stocked (esp. appreciated all the child-friendly plates and bowls!). Others should be aware that you should arrive from the NORTH on Sissabagama Road. After a stop off for groceries in Rice Lake our GPS routed us from the South, and we spent a stressful hour wandering around on narrow dirt roads without a signal. Coming from the North the roads are paved and there is a signal! Parking 3 cars on the driveway hill with dropoff to the lake was a bit dicey.

This is a beautiful location. We have an annual friend’s trip and we loved this place so much that this was our second d year in a row coming back!

This lovely big cabin surpasses any we've stayed at before. The exquisite natural surroundings and breathtaking 270-degree view of the lake make it truly exceptional!

This is our second stay at the beautiful Boulder Lodge. Our first stay was in December during the snowy season of chilly mornings and early sunsets. We enjoyed all the fun indoor games in the lower level….ping pong, pool, etc. This visit was during the warm days of late August which included fishing, kayak and rowboat rides and serene sunsets. Both visits offered an array of family fun opportunities amongst spacious surroundings. Our family of 7 adults and three children under the age of 3 had a wonderful time preparing meals in the fully stocked kitchen, eating at the huge table in the great room and roasting marshmallows at the campfire. The homey town of Hayward is close by. We had dinner at the local Pine Ridge restaurant and took several strolling walks along the quiet secluded drive that leads to the Boulder Lodge. Truly a wonderful get-away if you are looking for some time alone with your love ones. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
